Late summer in Hayden Valley, the rut already on. The herd was working a meadow and a big bull broke off behind two cows — head low, tail up, the kind of run-after that’s pure rut posturing without ever quite catching anyone.
The original frame caught that motion specifically: the size and the weight of the bull at the moment he stopped pretending he wasn’t interested. The print pulls that frame onto the back panel without smoothing it out.
Bison don't announce themselves. You hear the ground before you see anything move — then the herd materializes out of the grass like it was always there. This design started with that specific stillness. A particular romp, a particular morning.
Printed on a 6.1 oz garment-dyed pocket tee. Ring-spun cotton, side-seamed, soft-washed. The kind of blank that gets better with wear rather than falling apart. Available in white, granite, and sandstone — each color reads differently against the design.
